Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Tom Thumb' (Kohuhu) is a slow-growing, evergreen shrub of dense and rounded habit boasting striking, dark young stems clothed with beautiful, small, wavy margined, deep purple leaves. They contrast nicely with the pale green young growth and provide striking color year-round. Sometimes, clusters of fragrant, tiny, black-red flowers appear in late spring and early summer. While the flowers are inconspicuous, their sweet honey scent fills the air with their perfume. Useful for a color accent in mixed plantings, groupings, and even low hedges.
