Picea abies Sherwoodii (Norway Spruce)

Extremely variable in structure, Picea abies 'Sherwoodii' (Norway Spruce) can be a conifer of conical or spreading habit. It can grow as a pyramidal tree with strongly ascending branches or develop into a broadly spreading shrub. Its branches are densely covered with light green needles and many soft brown shoots. A slow grower, 4-6 in. per year (10-15 cm), this Norway Spruce is perfect as a specimen, for foundation plantings or as a thick hedge.
