Jasminum mesnyi (Primrose Jasmine)
Spectacular in mass plantings, award-winner Jasminum mesnyi (Primrose Jasmine) is a large, scrambling evergreen shrub with long, arching branches clothed with dark green trifoliate leaves. In winter or spring, depending on geographic areas, a profusion of sweetly fragrant, semi-double, bright yellow flowers, almost 2 in. across (4 cm), are on display.

In winter or spring, depending on geographic areas, a profusion of sweetly fragrant, semi-double, bright yellow flowers, almost 2 in. across (4 cm), are on display. Fast-growing, Primrose Jasmine is ideal as bank cover (erosion control) since it spreads where the stems touch the ground. It is also very pretty when trailing over fences or walls and perfect for covering unsightly views.

- Performs best in full sun to part shade, in rich organic, well-drained soils. Needs regular to moderate water.

- Virtually disease free. Keep an eye out for aphids, scale insects, and mealybugs.
- Prune only lightly after bloom by heading back or singly removing older canes.
