Dutch Iris 'Apollo' features elegant, large and bold flowers (6 in, 15 cm) with white standards slightly blue tinted and primrose yellow falls with buttercup blotches. The flower stalks are sturdy and surrounded by gray reed-like leaves.
- Flowering occurs in late spring to early summer for 2-3 weeks.
- Generally growing up to 22-26 inches tall (55-65 cm), it makes excellent cut flowers!
- Easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerates some afternoon shade.
- Lovely in beds and borders. Spectacular when planted in groups (at least 20 bulbs)!
- Deer and rabbit resistant
- To plant in fall or spring
