Hosta Orange Marmalade (Plantain Lily)

Create a bold impact with the lush foliage of Hosta 'Orange Marmalade' (Plantain Lily). Big and stunning, this herbaceous perennial forms an attractive mound of lightly corrugated leaves, up to 8 in. long (20 cm), which emerge blue-green in spring. The leaf center turns orange-gold in early summer, before fading to creamy-white. Funnel-shaped lavender blooms appear in summer, rising on scapes 24 in. long (60 cm). A moderate to fast-growing variety, it is excellent for borders or massing but also suitable for planting in mixed containers and tubs.
