Hosta Cherry Berry (Plantain Lily)

Hosta ‘Cherry Berry’ (Plantain Lily) is a small to medium herbaceous perennial forming an upright mound of thin, satiny, yellow to ivory-white leaves, 6 in. long (15 cm), irregularly and widely margined dark olive green. A ravishing tricolor effect is often visible in early to midsummer. Racemes of violet, flared flowers appear above the foliage on upright, intensely burgundy-red scapes reaching 28 in. (70 cm) in midsummer.

  • Cut off the stems after blooming to encourage the plant's growth. Discolored leaves should be trimmed back to the ground.
