Both ornamental and edible, Fragaria × ananassa 'Berried Treasure Pink' (Everbearing Strawberry) produces abundant clusters of semi-double, soft pink flowers adorned with yellow centers from spring until the first frost. They are followed by a rich harvest of snack-sized, highly flavorful fruits. This Everbearing Strawberry is day neutral: it is not affected by day length, allowing for continuous fruiting anytime temperatures range between 35-85ºF (0-29ºC). It will produce a good yield in the first year it is planted. 'Berried Treasure Pink' has restrained runners, which makes it ideal for patio or terrace pots, where the fruit can be shown off and easily picked. It can also be used creatively as a bedding plant, and best of all is an edible jewel on any balcony.

  • Grows up to 12-16 in. tall (30-40 cm) and 18-24 in. wide (45-60 cm).
  • A full sun lover, this plant is best grown in fertile, moist, well-drained soils. Prefers organically rich, sandy loams. An easy-care plant that continues to flower and produce fruit providing sufficient water and fertilizer are available.
  • Strawberries are susceptible to quite a few issues such as foliage diseases, root rots (red stele, black root rot), fruit rots (anthracnose, leather rot), verticillium wilt, gray mold, viruses and scorch. Tarnished plant bug, mites, aphids, leafrollers, slugs, nematodes and strawberry weevils are occasional insect pests.
