Dracaena fragrans (Deremensis Group) Lemon Lime (Dragon Plant)

Dracaena fragrans (Deremensis Group) ‘Lemon Lime’ (Dragon Plant) is an upright, evergreen shrub with a very thick stem topped by a rosette of long, sword-shaped leaves, 2 ft. long (60 cm). Narrow and arching, the leaves are striped with cream, greenish-yellow and lime stripes.

Dracaena fragrans (Deremensis Group) 'Lemon Lime' (Dragon Plant) is an upright, evergreen shrub with a very thick stem topped by a rosette of long, sword-shaped leaves, 2 ft. long (60 cm). Narrow and arching, the leaves are striped with cream, greenish-yellow and lime stripes. Blooming periodically throughout the year, fragrant tiny white-yellow flowers are on display and may give way to red berries. On indoor plants, flowers and berries rarely appear. Side branches begin to form on mature plants. Colorful, this succulent shrub is commonly used as a houseplant as it tolerates interior conditions very well. Easy to grow, it is a wonderful plant to brighten up the home.

  • Grows up to 5-10 ft. tall (150-300 cm) and 3-5 ft. wide (90-150 cm).
  • Easily grown in organically rich, well-drained soils in part shade. Indoors, grow in loam-based potting compost in full light and shade from hot sun and with moderate humidity. Keep soils uniformly moist during the growing season, but reduce watering from fall to late winter. Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly from spring to fall. Drought tolerant.
  • Tolerates a wide range of indoor temperatures, but is best grown in temperatures of 60-75ºF (15-24ºC).
