Delphinium Magic Fountain Sky Blue (Candle Larkspur)

Ideal for small gardens or where space is at a premium, Delphinium 'Magic Fountain Sky Blue' is a shorter variety of Larkspur with elegant but sturdy flower spikes, densely packed with large, semi-double pastel blue florets and contrasting white eyes. Blooming for weeks from late spring to late summer, this variety grows only to 30-36 in. tall (75-90 cm) and does not require staking. Rising from a mound of divided, dark green foliage, this Delphinium has a neat compact habit. Hummingbirds are endlessly attracted to the flowers – as are most onlookers! This plant belongs to the 'Magic Fountain' Series which is renowned for its vigor and better tolerance to heat.

• Performs best in full sun or part shade in fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Provide a sheltered location to protect your plants from strong winds.
• Attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies, but ignored by deer and rabbits!
• A welcomed addition to beds and borders, cottage gardens. For the best visual impact, plant your Delphiniums in groups. Excellent as cut flowers, they deserve a spot in your cutting garden.
• Removing spent flower spikes will result in another round of blooms on secondary spikes in late summer and fall.
• All parts of the plant may cause severe discomfort if ingested.
