Native to the Mediterranean region, Convolvulus sabatius (Bindweed or Ground Morning Glory) is a luscious, trailing, woody-based perennial noted for its endless production of widely funnel-shaped, lavender-blue flowers, 1-2 in. across (2-5 cm), throughout the year in mild winter areas, from early summer to early fall elsewhere. Hugging the ground, this charming groundcover has small, oval soft gray-green leaves which are evergreen where hardy. Although the top growth may be killed by frost, Ground Morning Glory will re-sprout from its base the following year. Its tumbling habit makes it ideal for raised beds, hanging baskets, or containers.
- Awarded the prestigious Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society
- Grows up to 4-6 in. tall (10-15 cm) with a spread of 18-24 in. (45-60 cm).

- Great for beds and borders, Mediterranean gardens, cottage gardens, city gardens, rock gardens, or containers. Great for edging too.
- Virtually disease free.
