Ceanothus Remote Blue (Mountain Lilac)

Fast-growing, Ceanothus ‘Remote Blue’ (Mountain Lilac) is a mounding evergreen shrub noted for its abundant clusters, up to 3 in. long (7 cm), of clear blue flowers in mid to late spring. Attracting bees and butterflies, the blossoms open from charcoal-blue buds and are so profuse that they literally cover the shrub for an outstanding display. They compliment the glossy foliage of small oval dark green leaves, 1 in. long (2.5 cm), which add sparkle to the garden year-round.
