Caryopteris x clandonensis ‘Janice’ (Bluebeard) is a small, deciduous shrub of upright and compact habit with a long season of interest. In spring, its bright gold foliage emerges, adding sparkle to the garden. From late summer to mid-fall, abundant rich blue flowers are on display to the delight of butterflies, bees, and other beneficial insects. They make a lovely contrast with the sunny yellow foliage of ovate, coarsely toothed, aromatic leaves.
