Caladium Heart to Heart® ‘Bold ‘N Beautiful’ (Angel Wings) is a tropical, tuberous perennial with lush, heart-shaped leaves emerging pinkish orange with an olive green border in spring. The medium-sized leaves turn mostly white with pinkish orange to white veins as the season progresses.

The medium-sized leaves turn mostly white with pinkish orange to white veins as the season progresses. They are held on slender, upright stalks. Exotic-looking, this eye-catching foliage plant is terrific to add color and drama to borders and containers. It also makes an excellent houseplant. Thriving in heat and humidity, it is also sun and shade tolerant and therefore is very versatile in the landscape.

  • Grows up to 15-20 in. tall (37-50 cm) and 10-14 in. wide (25-35 cm).
  • Performs best in sun, part shade or full shade, in humus-rich, moist, well-drained soils. Provide regular moisture and do not allow soils to dry out.
  • Excellent in shaded beds and borders or containers.
  • Generally disease and pest free, this plant requires little maintenance. Watch for slugs and snails.
  • Tubers may be left in the ground in mild winter climates (USDA Zones 10-11). In colder areas, dig the tubers in fall before the first frost and store them in a cool, dry place over winter.
  • To be planted in spring. Caladiums require warm soil to emerge and thrive.
  • Propagate by division of tubers.
  • Harmful if eaten, skin and eye irritant. Wear gloves and other protective equipment when handling.
  • Toxic to dogs, toxic to cats, toxic to horses.
