- Grows up to 12-14 in. tall (30-35 cm) and 18-24 in. wide (45-60 cm).
- Easily grown in humus-rich, moist, well-drained soils in sun or part shade. Tolerates a wide range of soil conditions, including poor soils, but dislikes hot, dry conditions.
- Undemanding and virtually disease-free, this Bergenia is a welcomed addition to beds and borders, banks and slopes, underplanting of roses and shrubs, cottage gardens, coastal gardens or city gardens. Effective as a groundcover or edging paths and walkways.
- Deer and rabbit resistant, salt tolerant.
