Achillea Desert Eve Red (Yarrow)

Among the earliest flowering yarrows, Achillea Desert Eve Red (Yarrow) is a compact herbaceous perennial boasting a profusion of large, long-lasting clusters of brick-red flowers. Blooming for weeks from late spring to late summer, this eye-catching beauty easily enlivens any sunny corner of the garden. • Performs best in full sun in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils. Light shade is tolerated, but the best coloring and flowering are obtained in full sun. Drought tolerant once established.
• A vital ingredient of beds and borders, city gardens, cottage gardens, or patio containers. Achillea is also valued for the excellent quality of its cut flowers, whether in bouquets or dried floral arrangements.
• No serious pest or disease issues. Keep an eye out for aphids, and powdery mildew. Deer and rabbit resistant.
• Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Trim back hard after the first flush of bloom, to maintain a compact habit.
