Named for Queen Elizabeth's coronation, award-winner Achillea 'Coronation Gold' is a spectacular herbaceous perennial bearing masses of long-lasting, conspicuous, bright gold flat clusters from late spring to late summer over a pleasantly aromatic, silvery-gray, finely cut foliage.  Extremely easy to grow, this yarrow provides outstanding results even if neglected. Drought and heat tolerant, deer and rabbit resistant, this eye-catching yarrow is perfect for hot, dry, and sunny borders and excellent for cutting.

  • Grows up to 2-3 feet tall (60-90 cm) and 18-24 in. wide (45-60 cm).
  • Performs best in full sun in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established.
  • A vital ingredient of beds and borders or cottage gardens. Achillea is also valued for the excellent quality of its cut flowers, whether in bouquets or dried floral arrangements.
  • No serious pest or disease issues. Keep an eye out for aphids, and powdery mildew. Deer and rabbit resistant.
  • Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Trim back hard after the first flush of bloom, to maintain a compact habit.
  • Propagate by division in spring.
