Phormium / Flaxes

Adding year-round drama to the garden, Phormium are evergreen perennials, forming a large clump of leathery, strap-shaped leaves, with tall panicles of small, tubular flowers in summer. They come in all sizes and their leaves, whether solid or variegated, encompass a wide array of attractive colors. While some Phormium varieties love
sun, others thrive in shade. They all provide a strong architectural presence in the landscape and are perfect as specimen plants, in borders, containers, or in coastal gardens.
