Pelargonium Concolor Lace (Scented Geranium)

Noted for its fragrance and bright flowers, Pelargonium 'Concolor Lace' (Scented Geranium) is a compact, bushy, evergreen, tender perennial with attractive lacy-edged, medium green leaves. Reminiscent of hazelnuts, the pretty leaves exude a spicy, nutty scent when bruised. From late spring to fall, small clusters of cherry-pink flowers are nicely set off by the foliage. Place this scented geranium where its foliage can be easily brushed, in containers or raised beds, where it will gracefully cascade down.

• Grows up to 18-24 in. tall and wide (45-60 cm).
• Performs best in full sun or part shade, in moderately fertile, neutral, or alkaline, well-drained soils. Best in full sun, but welcomes some light shade in the heat of the day. Water regularly during the growing season. Drought tolerant, once established.
• Perfect addition to beds and borders, cottage gardens, city gardens, Mediterranean gardens, or containers.
• Watch for gray molds, pelargonium rust Pelargonium virus, glasshouse whitefly, glasshouse leafhopper, aphids, vine weevil, and root mealybugs.
• Deadhead regularly and cut back in spring if required. Propagate by softwood cuttings in spring or summer.
• Toxic to dogs, toxic to cats, toxic to horses.
