Lantana

Vigorous, Lantana are sun-loving evergreen shrubs or perennials forming bushy mounds of dark green foliage which get abundantly covered with brightly colored flower clusters from late spring to fall. Blooming continuously for months in warm combinations of colors, their blooms attract butterflies and hummingbirds but are ignored by hungry deer. Their wrinkled leaves are aromatic (pungent scent) when bruised. Lantana are tough, resilient plants that thrive in extreme heat, humidity, and drought. Fast-growing, they are mostly used as groundcovers, ornamental shrubs, or in containers. Salt tolerant, they are an excellent choice for plantings near the beach.
