  • A remarkably low-maintenance plant, this excellent performer is highly versatile and can be used in many situations: in the front of the perennial border, in rock gardens or in naturalistic plantings. It is also great for edging beds or paths and even as a ground cover!
  • Its noteworthy qualities have earned it many awards including the Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society (2012) and Perennial Plant of the Year Award (2007).
  • Hardy, it typically grows in spreading clumps up to 2-3 ft. tall and wide (60-90 cm) in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils and thrives in full sun to part shade.
  • A dry soil lover, it is drought tolerant. Humidity and salt tolerant too!
  • Attracts the energy of hummingbirds and butterflies but is ignored by deer and rabbits.
  • Shear flower spikes after flowering to encourage new blooms.
