Hebe – Shrubby Veronicas
Grown for their attractive form, foliage or flowers, Hebe are bushy evergreen shrubs with paired, simple leaves in shades of green, silver or variegated with creamy-white edges. Some turn bright pinkish-purple in cold weather, extending further their impact in the garden. From summer to fall, they usually boast flower spikes in white, purple, and pink attracting both bees and butterflies. Easy to grow, thriving with little maintenance, rarely bothered by pests and diseases, Hebe are wonderful in mixed borders, containers, coastal gardens or rock gardens.
