Gaillardia x grandiflora Arizona Red Shades (Blanket Flower)

Free-flowering, Gaillardia x grandiflora 'Arizona Red Shades' (Blanket Flower) is a bushy, often short-lived herbaceous perennial with large, crimson red flowers, some with yellow tips. Blooming from early summer into fall, the daisy-like flowers cover the compact, uniform, well-branched mound of bright green foliage. Rich in nectar, the flowers are real magnets for butterflies. Drought and heat tolerant, this Blanket Flower requires little care once established. Blooms profusely even in the first year.

• Easily grown in a compact mound up to 10-12 in. tall (25-30 cm) and 12 in. wide (30 cm).
