Cyperus

Prized for their striking silhouette, Cyperus can be annuals or evergreen, rhizomatous perennials, with decorative sprays of leaf fronds that resemble thin, papery palms. They range in size from very small to very large and are useful accents in the water garden or at a pond’s edge. Some may be grown in containers. They are excellent plant for pond filtration.
