Crinum

Crinum lilies are bulbous perennials, sometimes evergreen, boasting umbels of showy, fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers in summer atop leafless scapes well above the strap-shaped leaves. Tender perennials, these spectacular lilies are old favorites in Southern gardens and great additions to garden borders, foundation plantings or planters. The blossoms are like those of amaryllis and make great cut flowers. Easy to grow and virtually pest free, Crinum Lilies are resistant to drought, although some also do not mind having their feet wet. There are some 130 species in the genus Crinum, which one will be yours?
