Dracaena reflexa Variegata (Song of India)

Slow-growing, Dracaena reflexa 'Variegata' (Song of India) is an upright, evergreen shrub with reflexed, sword-shaped, deep green leaves broadly margined creamy-white. They are spirally arranged in whorls on the stem and tufted at the branch ends. Blooming periodically throughout the year, tiny white flowers are on display and may give way to orange-red berries. On indoor plants, flowers and berries rarely appear. Colorful, this succulent shrub is commonly used as a houseplant as it tolerates interior conditions very well. Easy to grow, it is a wonderful plant to brighten up the home.

• Grows up to 12-18 ft. tall (360-540 cm) and 3-8 ft. wide (90-240 cm).
• Easily grown in well-drained soils in part shade. Indoors, grow in loam-based potting compost in full light and shade from hot sun and with moderate humidity. Keep soils uniformly moist but not wet. Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly from spring to fall.
• Tolerates a wide range of indoor temperatures, but is best grown in temperatures of 65-85ºF (18-29ºC).
• Great for containers or Mediterranean gardens.
• Disease resistant, Song of India is susceptible to scale, mealybugs, and thrips.
• Propagate by semi-hardwood cuttings or leafless stem sections in spring with bottom heat.
