Chrysanthemum Overture

Adding brilliance to the late-season garden, Chrysanthemum 'Overture' is a hardy garden mum featuring profuse sprays of rich russet red, daisy-like flowers, adorned with a bright golden center. The blossoms fade to terracotta as the season progresses. Blooming from late summer to late fall, the multibranched stems are covered with flowers that stand out against the green foliage. This perennial forms a compact, bushy mound and does not require staking. Easy to grow, it is an excellent choice for sunny borders or containers. Ideal to brighten the fall garden!

• Grows up to 18-24 in. tall (45-60 cm) and 24-36 in. wide (60-90 cm)
• Best flowering occurs in full sun in fertile, well-drained soils enriched with organic matter and general-purpose fertilizer. Water freely in dry weather. Plant in a sheltered location to protect your Chrysanthemum from strong winds.
• Pinch out the growing tip when the plants are 6-8 in. tall (15-20 cm) to encourage free-flowering, bushy plants. Cut back to near ground level in the fall.
