Bougainvillea

Sumptuous and vibrantly colored, Bougainvillea is one of the showiest vines you can grow. This evergreen shrub gets literally blanketed by abundant clusters of bright papery bracts in bold shades of pink, magenta, purple, red, orange, white, or yellow. Unless you live in a Mediterranean region, you may grow Bougainvillea in a large container in a sheltered, sunny spot where it should flower several times in one season. Relatively pest-free, Bougainvillea is deer resistant, salt and drought tolerant once established. A favorite of birds and hummingbirds!
