Hosta ‘Brim Cup’ (Plantain Lily) is a small clump-forming perennial forming a dense, rounded mound of thick, ovate, slightly cupped, dark green leaves, 6 in. long (15 cm), with a blue cast and wide, irregular chartreuse margins that fade to creamy-white. Racemes of bell-shaped white flowers appear above the foliage on scapes reaching 18 in. (45 cm) in midsummer. Slow to increase, this small hosta is an ideal choice for growing in a container on the patio where its strikingly variegated leaves can be admired.
