Clematis Abundance (Viticella Group)
A great choice for the garden, Clematis 'Abundance' is a large, deciduous climber which produces masses of small, semi-nodding, light red to cherry pink flowers, up to 3 in. wide (8 cm), with a creamy boss of pale white to yellow stamens. Each flower bears 4 to 6 sepals, elegantly recurved at their edges and tips. The undersides of the unfurling sepals feature a white bar, providing additional complimentary details. Blooming profusely from mid-summer to fall, this long-established favorite is aptly named 'Abundance'. It seems to never cease to surpass expectations in the number of blooms and the healthy nature of its leaves. Extremely vigorous, this clematis is perfect for growing up trees or other climbing plants and a great companion to large shrubs, which have finished their spring blooms such as camellias.
