Fringed Tulips

Quite elegant looking, easy to grow and weather resistant. More and more people are becoming interested in Fringed Tulips which enjoy all finely incised petals

More and more people are becoming interested in Fringed Tulips – so that these tulips now have their own group. It must be remembered, however, that because the tulips in this group are mutants from various other groups, that heights and flowering periods will vary somewhat among them. The one characteristic they have in common, though, is their finely incised petals. Blooming in mid – late spring, they bring elegance to the garden!

  • Growing up to 14-30 inches tall (35-75 cm), these beauties will create dazzling harmonies with other mid-late season flowering bulbs.
  • They perform best in full sun in rich, fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Prefer areas with cool winters and warm dry summers.
  • Easy to grow, these tulips are welcomed additions to beds, borders, containers. For best visual impact, plant in groups (at least 10 to 15 bulbs) or mixed with any other flowering bulbs.
  • To be planted in fall.
  • Eating may cause severe discomfort and may cause a skin allergy.
