Hosta Victory (Plantain Lily)

Noted for its huge leaves and distinctive variegation, Hosta 'Victory' (Plantain Lily) is a clump-forming perennial forming an impressive mound of large, thick, wavy, widely oval, blue-green leaves adorned with broad, irregular margins. Emerging bright yellow, the margins turn pale yellow as the season progresses. Racemes of funnel-shaped, pale lavender flowers appear in profusion in early to midsummer summer on arching scapes rising above the foliage mound to 54 in. tall (135 cm). Fairly fast-growing, this spectacular hosta eventually makes a remarkable specimen and adds great color to the shady border.

• Grows up to 28-32 in. tall (70-80 cm) and 38-46 in. wide (95-115 cm).
• Performs best in part shade to full shade in fertile, moist, well-drained soils. Shelter from cold, dry winds.
• Perfect for the shade garden, mixed with other perennials in bed and borders, city gardens, cottage gardens, or containers. 
• Watch for slugs and snails which could damage the attractive foliage.
• Cut off the stems after blooming to encourage the plant's growth. Discolored leaves should be trimmed back to the ground.
• Propagate by division in early spring or late summer.
• Toxic to dogs, toxic to cats, toxic to horses.
