Hosta Sun Mouse (Plantain Lily)

Hosta 'Sun Mouse' (Plantain Lily) is a small, low-growing perennial forming a cute miniature mound of thick, nearly round, brilliant yellow leaves that retain their golden color well into summer. Racemes lavender flowers appear above the foliage on scapes reaching 18 in. (45 cm) in midsummer. Moderately fast-growing, this small hosta is perfect for brightening up hosta troughs and shade gardens. Plant it in an area with morning sun or filtered shade for best yellow color.

• Grows up to 6 in. tall (15 cm) and 12 in. wide (30 cm).
• Performs best in part shade to full shade in fertile, moist, well-drained soils. Shelter from cold, dry winds.
